In Microvets players navigate a small ship through the gastrointestinal system of a horse. The player is guided by the voice of a robot via radio. The player is tasked with scanning areas of the GI tract to find symptoms in order to diagnose ailments and administer cures. The story progresses as the robot issues tasks for the player to complete, the solution of which teaches the player information about horse digestion. A large part of the game consists of exploration, scanning the gastrointestinal system and looking through content.

Microvets is developed to be a proof of concept prototype for a larger educational game for college students in entry level agriculture courses to learn about the digestive system of animals through interactivity.
